Dr. Aljitawi: So the way we can tell if it’s more effective is by adding a particular drug to the cells that are interacting with this Matrix. If we see more of the cells dying, but also we can see other effects of the interaction of these cells with the Matrix; if the cells stop moving, or if they have changing characteristics. Also, there are markers of cell death that we can use.
All of these indicate that the cells are being affected by this chemotherapy in the presence of the Matrix, so they find that chemotherapy that’s not effective, we would potentially use other drugs that are available to treat that particular patient.
